Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what SweetPod is

SweetPod is a podcast discovery and curation platform that allows users to browse podcasts, create curated collections called Loops, and follow other listeners. SweetPod is operated by an individual based in Canada.

By creating an account or using SweetPod, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Your account

To create an account you must:

Choose a username that does not impersonate another person or brand
Use a display name that is not offensive, hateful, or misleading
Be at least 13 years old
Agree to our Privacy Policy

You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for any activity that happens under your account. Do not share your account with others.

3. What you can do on SweetPod

You may:

Browse and discover podcasts from our curated library
Create Loops — curated collections of podcasts
Follow other users and their Loops
Take the taste quiz for personalised recommendations
Use SweetPod for personal, non-commercial purposes

4. What you cannot do

You may not use SweetPod to:

Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or harassing
Impersonate another person, brand, or public figure
Spam other users or create fake accounts
Attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the service
Use automated tools to access the service without permission
Violate any applicable Canadian or local laws

We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that violate these rules without notice.

5. Content you create

You own the content you create on SweetPod — your Loops, descriptions, and profile information. By posting it, you give SweetPod a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it to other users as part of operating the service. We will never sell your content or use it for advertising.

We do not claim ownership of your content. If you delete your account, your content is deleted too.

6. Podcast links and third-party content

SweetPod links to podcasts on Spotify and other platforms. We do not host, own, or control any podcast content. Clicking those links takes you to third-party platforms governed by their own terms. SweetPod is not affiliated with Spotify or any podcast network.

7. The service is provided "as is"

SweetPod is provided without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it running reliably, but we cannot guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or that your data will never be lost. Use SweetPod at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law, SweetPod is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Limitation of liability

SweetPod's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. If you are a free user, that limit is $0. This does not affect any rights you have under Canadian consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

9. SweetPod Club (paid tier — coming soon)

When SweetPod Club launches, additional terms will apply to paid subscriptions including cancellation, refunds, and billing. Those terms will be presented clearly before any payment is taken. You will never be charged without explicit consent.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. If we terminate your account for reasons other than a Terms violation, we will give you reasonable notice.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of SweetPod after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved under Canadian law. If you are located outside Canada, local laws may also apply to you.
